Week 4 Devlog

For my midterm project, I'm making a game about pain management. Back a couple years ago, I dislocated my shoulder on the first day of a ski trip with my family. I spent the rest of the trip in the cabin, taking Vicodin and watching Cops for hours on end. The main goal of the game is to take just enough Vicodin that the pain subsides but not too much or you'll fall asleep and won't be able to watch Cops anymore.

The main mechanic is going to come in the form of a pain meter, which will slowly increase. When the pain reaches a certain level, you'll have to toss a Vicodin into the air and catch it in your mouth. If you miss, the pain meter increases, and now you have to catch 2 Vicodin in your mouth in order to keep watching Cops.

If you take too many Vicodin, I'm going to trigger some visual effects on the main camera and slow the movement mechanics. When you take too much Vicodin, you'll have to pay really good attention to Cops or you lose.
